RMUTL Krathong Procession “Mangkhala Racha Tai Rom Photha Mahajakriwong got the 1st Runner-up Award

On November 23rd , 2018. RMUTL set Krathong Procession in Loy Krathong Festival 2018 to inherit and conserve Lanna culture. This procession also showed the performance and ability of teachers and students. The procession started at Tha Phae Gate along Tha Phae Road to Wichayanon Toad and ended at Chiang Mai Municipality Office. The distance was about 2 km. The contest result showed that RMUTL Krathong Procession got the 1st Runner-up. The procession was set in “Mangkhala Racha Tai Rom Photha Mahajakriwong” concept. It means Garland of the King. Moreover, the procession used felicitous sign “White Elephant” or “Chang Phueak”. Chang Phueak was a prestige animal for the King and Chiang Mai was a city which had many elephants.

Section 1: Administrators, Teachers and Personnel of RMUTL

Assoc. Prof. Seensiri Sangajit who acting for the Rector brought the administrators to join the procession.

Miss Siphatsorn Lekphimai, Mr. Teeranai Rakna, Miss Shayanan Disayashairoj and Mr. Panusorn Jaiklom were the Label holders.

            Section 2: Flower Tray, Golden Bodhi Tree, Flags, Tiered, Actors, Dancers and Musicians

            Section 3: The Large Kra Thong and Posers including Miss Pongthiptida Vajidsuwan, Miss Neen Tachumpa and Miss Apichaya Wetbanpote

            Section 4: The Royal Sunshade in the shape of the Moon and the Sun

The procession designers were Mr. Neti Phikroh and Mr. Wittaya Polwitul, Teachers of Visual Arts Program, Faculty of Arts and Architecture, RMUTL.
